In addition to having a significantly higher kill rate - 95.9% - than any other shelter in the country, PETA is also running campaigns to abolish domestic animals being kept as companions. To quote one of PETA’s own pamphlets, Companion Animals: Pets or Prisoners?: 

“In a perfect world, all other-than-human animals would be free of human interference, and dogs and cats would be part of the ecological scheme, as they were before humans domesticated them and as they remain in some parts of the undeveloped world.”

Essentially, PETA wishes of cats and dogs to live as feral animals instead of being cared-for and loved by human families. No wonder they put so little effort into the cats and dogs already in their custody. These animals are, in PETA’s eyes, the result of human breeding, and are therefore not ‘natural’. Somehow, this means that they deserve to be killed instead of adopted out to loving homes. 

I hate PETA… just so all my followers know.
